Rock Reinforcement
|
The principal objective in the design of a support system is to help the rock mass to support itself. During the last decades the use of rockbolts , which actually form a part of the rock mass, has become more and more widespread. And for good reasons. The usage of rockbolts is a very flexible method that can be combined with wire mesh, shotcrete and concrete lining to cope with almost any situation encountered during mining or tunneling. Atlas Copco has since the beginning of the 80's been forerunners in the development of rockbolts, the Swellex rock reinforcement system, and equipment for mechanized bolting, the Boltec. These products are the miner's and contractor's tools for fast, safe and cost-efficient rockbolting. |
